Amarillo and Honolulu got after it at The Chicken Coop.

A good performance from left fielder Pete Carter helped the Amarillo Chicken Haulers defeat the Honolulu High Tide, 7-2. Carter was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Chicken Haulers. The first-place High Tide now sit at 57-39.

Amarillo designated hitter Brad Coleman contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 73rd hit of the season and put the Chicken Haulers ahead, 3-2.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Amarillo skipper James Walker.
