The Glacier Bay Ice Pirates picked up a win at The Rock, knocking off the Alcatraz Island Jail Break, 6-3. On the mound for Glacier Bay was left-hander Wiley Prince. He played a key role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Prince, now 7-4. He tossed 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 3. The first-place Ice Pirates have won 4 in a row.
Glacier Bay used the hitting of Manuel Vega to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Ice Pirates on top, 2-1. For the game, Vega had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
