The Michigan Militia had to overcome a fine effort from Atlantic City pitcher Luke Anderson to grab a narrow 2-1 win at Assembly Line Grounds. Anderson went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Michigan reliever Dave Kennedy picked up the win, raising his record to 7-4. Luis Miguel Callava was tagged with the loss. Lane Davis earned the save for Michigan, his 15th.

Michigan second baseman Darrell Sánchez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a knuckleball into right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 20th hit of the season and put the Militia ahead, 1-0.

"We did just enough to win," Sánchez said.

The win elevated the Militia to 52-45.
