The home crowd had a good time watching the Iowa Crop Circles and Havana Comrades get after it.

Havana pitcher Steven Carroll did his part in helping his team beat the Iowa Crop Circles, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The winner was Carroll. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 3 runs. The loser was Fernando Farías. Richard Carpenter earned the save, his 25th in 30 tries.

Roberto Suárez came through for Havana when he hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth. With the bases loaded, he hit a two-strike fastball to left-center field, staking his team to a 5-3 lead.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Suárez.

The last-place Crop Circles have lost 5 consecutive games.
