Honolulu Dismisses Amarillo, 3-2
|
The Chicken Coop was the site of a competitive game between the Amarillo Chicken Haulers and Honolulu High Tide.
The Honolulu High Tide called upon starter Dan Hanna, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Amarillo Chicken Haulers, 3-2. Hanna, now 3-4, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 10, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs.
Naomi Matsumura had a direct impact on the outcome. Matsumura contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first inning to put Honolulu up, 1-0.
"Dan was better than good. He was sensational," said Honolulu manager Mark Sambor.
The High Tide, at 49-52, inhabit 4th place in the Appalachian Southern.
