Cape Canaveral got a strong outing from Omar Delahoz as the Launch defeated the Vermont Lake Monsters, 3-0, at Welsh Field. Delahoz, the winner, moves to 4-5. He threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up no walks. Nick Sharpley closed it out for Cape Canaveral, earning his 22nd save.
Cape Canaveral used the hitting of Marshall Richardson to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Launch on top, 1-0. For the game, Richardson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
