Pitcher Hoyt Murphy was sensational for the Vermont Lake Monsters in his team's 3-0 triumph over the Keg Creek Coyotes. Murphy picked up the win, and it was well-earned. Iván Ruíz converted his 23rd save in 27 tries. Vermont now has a record of 61-40 with the win.

Murphy allowed no runs over 8 innings. He also racked up 10 strikeouts.

"I just made my pitches," said Murphy, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
