The 6-4 Ozark win over Mexico City was due in large part to Carlos Rodríguez. The Outlaws second baseman went 1-1 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Scott Cabrera notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. His record now sits at 1-5. Ozark is 4th in the Appalachian Southern with a record of 49-53.

Rodríguez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 cutter from John Joyner, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Outlaws a 6-4 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Rodríguez.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Rodríguez told the Ozark Today.
