The Honolulu High Tide defeated the Death Valley Burn, 13-1, in part because of third baseman Jaime Indacochea. Indacochea went 3-5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the High Tide. The winning pitcher was 30-year old left-handed pitcher Júlio Sepúlveda. He tossed 87 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. Death Valley has now lost 5 in a row.

Derrick Hawkins had a big bases-clearing double for the High Tide in the bottom of the first inning. With Honolulu leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Juan Jose Díaz and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 17th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the High Tide ahead, 5-1.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Death Valley manager .
