Cheesesteaks Win at Michigan, 2-0
|
Philadelphia beat Michigan on the strength of starting pitcher Tomás Quintero's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 2-0. Vincent Dickey sewed up the save, his 17th. Philadelphia occupies 4th place in the Frontier Northern at 47-56.
The Cheesesteaks got a big at-bat from center fielder Steve Baker. For the game, Baker went 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 5th triple of the season gave Philadelphia a 1-0 lead.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Quintero.
