Cuervo Win, 7-6, at Washington
|
San Jose and Washington duked it out and the Cuervo came out victorious.
San Jose Cuervo starter Bill Alexander pitched a strong game against the Washington Monuments at The Grand Lodge, leading the Cuervo to victory, 7-6. The win for the Cuervo lifted their record to 58-46.
San Jose used a well-timed hit by Marvin Andrés to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cuervo ahead, 4-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Alexander.
