Cranwell Homers Twice in 7-1 Win
The West Island Storm defeated the San Jose Cuervo, 7-1. Right Fielder Hunter Cranwell deserved a large share of the credit. Cranwell belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Storm. Glenn Chandler picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Gene Dudley suffered the loss. Ben Bradley recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 1 for 2.

West Island shortstop Júlio De La Cruz contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 56th hit of the season and put the Storm ahead, 3-1.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Cranwell. "You've got to get results."

The win has West Island at 40-64.
