High Tide Pin 6-3 Loss on Vermont
The Honolulu High Tide stopped the Vermont Lake Monsters, 6-3, at Champagne of Beers Field. The High Tide got a big game from Nick Pierce, who went 2-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Nick Davenport, the winner, improved to 2-0. He held the Lake Monsters to 3 runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 1. Earning his 2nd save for Honolulu was Edgar Arroyo.

Juan Rosas had a big 2-run double for the High Tide in the bottom of the third inning. With Honolulu leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Jack Coles and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the High Tide ahead, 3-0.

"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Rosas.

Honolulu now has a record of 5-4.
