González goes 3-for-3, Leads Chicken Haulers to Win
The game between Amarillo and Michigan is in the books, despite a little rain.

The Amarillo Chicken Haulers defeated the Michigan Militia, 6-3, in Appalachian action at Assembly Line Grounds. Héctor González pulled his weight. The 9-year veteran was 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Chicken Haulers, now 3-8, have not found much traction so far in 2072.

Amarillo center fielder Stewart Jones contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 14th hit of the season and put the Chicken Haulers ahead, 4-3.

Amarillo manager James Walker was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.
