Comrades Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Ravens, 4-1
|
Havana rode a fine outing from starter Tom Miller to victory over the Richmond Ravens at The Ballpark at Habanos Stadium. The final score was 4-1. Havana reliever Timothy Flannery picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Joe Lowe was tagged with the loss. Phil Harrison earned his 13th save in 19 chances.
Havana took a 2-1 lead on Randy Haney's 32nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Haney hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Richmond pitcher Joe Lowe visibly frustrated.
Haney called the triumph "a good team win."
The win puts Havana at 34-74.
