Rum Runners Come Back Late to Clip Falcons
The Orlando Rum Runners picked up a win at Falcons Field, topping the Newark Falcons, 4-3. On the mound for Orlando was left-hander Jerry Daniels. He played a principal role in the triumph. The winner in relief was Kevin Ray. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-0. Alfredo Quiñones collected his 1st save.

Orlando used the timely hitting of Francisco López to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rum Runners on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said López.

The triumph makes Orlando 7-4, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 2072.
