The Mexico City Diablos topped the Crab Apple Cove Mashers, 4-3, in Frontier action at Vargas Field. The standout performance belonged to Mexico City pitcher and Toronto, Canada, native John Allain. The save went to Bill Strachan, number 3 for him. With the win, the Diablos improved to 54-55.

Mexico City used the clutch hitting of Donald William to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Diablos the lead, 4-3. For the game, William had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

In postgame comments to the Mexico City Citizen, Allain said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
