In a low-scoring tilt between the Death Valley Burn and the Redstone Ridge Raptors, Raúl Adame was the difference-maker. The Death Valley right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Death Valley reliever Stan Webb picked up the win, upping his record to 7-8. Ramón Alvarado took the loss. Lane Davis was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 30 of 34 save opportunities.
Death Valley took a 2-1 lead on Howard Boyer's 36th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Redstone pitcher Ramón Alvarado in the bottom of the eighth.
"Tough loss," said Redstone manager Barry L. "But we'll learn from it."
Death Valley, at 67-43, is 11½ games up in the Frontier Southern.
