Lake Monsters Upend Coyotes, 8-4
The Vermont Lake Monsters beat the Keg Creek Coyotes, 8-4, at Coyote Den Stadium. Mario Amézaga, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Lake Monsters, at 71-40, have a comfortable 14½-game lead in their division.

Vermont used the clutch hitting of Richard Kass to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Lake Monsters the lead, 7-4. For the game, Kass had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
