In a low-scoring contest, Reading pitcher Connor Kelloway was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-0 win. The win went to Ed Leibnitz in relief, making him now 1-0. Gerald Tynsdale took the loss for Redstone. Martín Burgos sewed up the save, his 4th.

Reading took a 2-0 lead on Harvey Gregg's 7th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Gregg hit in the top of the eighth, left Redstone pitcher John Cunningham visibly frustrated.

"Nice win for us," said Gregg. "Now we'll go after the next one."

The Railbirds, now 10-3, have been on fire in the early going.
