The Boston Revolution weathered an outstanding game by Laredo third baseman Claudio Moreno to topple the Border Jumpers, 5-3. Moreno went 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. Martin Wilson, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 4.1 innings. The Border Jumpers, now 4-8, continue their inauspicious start.

Sam Farrell, who finished 5th in the FR in wins above replacement with 5.3 in 2075, aided the Boston cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth. For the game, the catcher was 1-3.
