Ridge Raptors Come Back Late to Top Crop Circles, 8-6
Iowa left fielder Clyde Ashe was sensational. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Redstone beat the Crop Circles, 8-6. Chris Brown, now 2-5, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. Redstone used the clutch hitting of Alfonso Alejándrez to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Ridge Raptors the lead, 8-6. For the game, Alejándrez had 1 single and 2 doubles in 4 at-bats.
