Alcatraz Island Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Alcatraz Island Jail Break had to overcome a fine effort from Death Valley pitcher Raúl Adame to grab a narrow 3-2 win at The Rock. Adame went 7.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Alcatraz Island reliever Ángel García was the winner. His record is now 6-2. Lane Davis took the loss. Alcatraz Island, at 72-43, is 7½ games up in the Frontier Coastal.
Alcatraz Island won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Lane Davis on the mound for Death Valley, pinch hitter Scot Potter hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Jail Break fans to their feet.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Alcatraz Island manager Justin Fusco.
