Coyotes Fall Short, 2-1, at Richmond
|
Richmond got a first-rate effort from pitcher Curt Brown, who frustrated Keg Creek hitters en route to a 2-1 Ravens triumph at Battle Field. Brown picked up the win for Richmond, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 11-10. Picking up the save was Víctor Rodríguez, his 34th.
Richmond took a 2-1 lead on Eric Gentry's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Keg Creek pitcher Gerald Casey in the bottom of the seventh.
"I got in a good groove," said Brown. "I was getting some swings and misses."
With the win, the Ravens sit at 64-52.
