The Alcatraz Island Jail Break picked up a win at The Rock, knocking off the Death Valley Burn, 6-2. Starting pitcher Leonard Johnston played a key role in the triumph. Alcatraz Island reliever Chalis Kilonzo picked up the win, upping his record to 6-1. Ed Knox absorbed the loss. The first-place Jail Break, at 73-44, now lead their division by 7½ games.

Alcatraz Island took a 3-2 lead on Leonardo Pagán's 14th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Pagán hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Death Valley pitcher Ed Knox visibly frustrated.

"Leonard just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Alcatraz Island manager Justin Fusco.
