Coyotes Win at Michigan, 3-2
|
The Keg Creek Coyotes scored a tight 3-2 win versus the Michigan Militia at Assembly Line Grounds. Keg Creek pitcher Gerald Casey held his own in the contest. The save was credited to Júlio Ortíz, his 22nd. Keg Creek goes to 58-60, Michigan to 62-56.
Keg Creek used a well-timed hit by Tom Day to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Coyotes ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I was a little disappointed," said Michigan manager Johnny Rose. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
