Ridge Raptors Improve to 67-53 with 3-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Redstone Ridge Raptors and the Laredo Border Jumpers, Tom Brown was the X factor. The Redstone left-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Victor Jones converted his 29th save in 32 tries. With the win, Redstone raised its record to 67-53.
Artie Martin went 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI for Redstone. The 29-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Roberto Menédez. It was his 41st RBI of the season.
"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Martin.
