6 Straight Wins for Cheesesteaks
|
The performance of Chris Hall proved critical in helping Philadelphia beat St. Paul, 6-2. The Cheesesteaks designated hitter went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Cheesesteaks, at 67-53, have now won 6 straight.
Allan Schneider had a big 3-run home run for the Cheesesteaks in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Philadelphia leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a slider from Paul Cochran, who is tied for 10th in the FR in triples with 5, and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Cheesesteaks on top, 6-1.
"I feel like we're rolling now," Schneider told the Philadelphia Bulletin."The dugout is coming alive."
