The Keg Creek Coyotes rode a solid performance from 25-year-old starting pitcher Bob Reed to a win, beating the Vermont Lake Monsters, 4-2, at Coyote Den Stadium. The victory puts Keg Creek at 47-73.

Dave Brown was 1-3 for Keg Creek. The 33-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Hoyt Murphy. It was his 10th RBI of the season.

"Bob set the tone with his ability to attack the hitters," said Keg Creek manager .
