Lake Monsters Waste Great Game from Baker
|
The Michigan Militia overcame a good performance by Vermont left fielder Justin Baker to knock off Vermont, 4-2, at Assembly Line Grounds. Baker was 4 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double. Omar Delahoz got the win, improving to 3-4. He held the Lake Monsters to 1 run on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 3. Earning the save was Lane Davis. He's now cashed in 15 of 16 save opportunities.
In the bottom of the fifth, Michigan center fielder Kenny Harrell had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and one out, Harrell stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 2-1, Michigan. For the game, he went 1-3 with a walk.
"We put together a nice win," Harrell said.
The Militia improve their record to 53-67 with the win over Vermont.
