The Havana Comrades downed the Alcatraz Island Jail Break, 7-4. The hitting star was right fielder Keishi Koku. Koku went 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Comrades. Roberto García earned his 8th save in 11 tries. Havana is now 67-54. Alcatraz Island is 65-55.

Mario Sánchez had a big 2-run double for the Comrades in the bottom of the first inning. With Havana leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Greg Payne, who finished 4th in the FR in innings pitched with 204.1 in 2072, and swatted a double to center. It was his 14th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Comrades ahead, 3-0.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Sánchez. "It sure beats the alternative."
