Cheesesteaks Need Extra Frames to Get Past Ridge Raptors
The Philadelphia Cheesesteaks beat the Redstone Ridge Raptors, 6-5, in part because of first baseman Francis Joseph. He was 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Clint Kimball closed it out for Philadelphia, earning his 4th save. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for the Cheesesteaks.

Philadelphia used the timely hitting of Tom Burt to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 14th inning to put the Cheesesteaks on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"When their pitchers are leaving stuff over the heart of the plate, we're not missing it," said Philadelphia manager Joey Santangelo.
