Win Makes Ridge Raptors 7-6
|
The Redstone Ridge Raptors picked up a win at The Raptor's Nest, downing the Reading Railbirds, 3-2. On the mound for Redstone was left-hander Chris Hall, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winner was Hall. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Carlos Caro. David Flint sewed up the save, his 4th.
In the bottom of the fifth, Kyle Gaines delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Redstone second baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Ridge Raptors in front, 3-2.
Gaines attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
Losses have been few and far between for the Railbirds, now 10-4.
