Ridge Raptors Trip Railbirds, 6-5, in Extra Innings
The Redstone Ridge Raptors handed the Reading Railbirds an extra-inning, 6-5 defeat at Schuylkill Landing Park. Shortstop Rod Malone starred for Redstone. He went 3-8 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Redstone reliever Tom Brown picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Anthony Hunt took the loss. Redstone, at 75-48, is 9 games up in the Frontier Southern.

Máximo Delgado went 1-8 for Redstone. The 23-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the 18th. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Anthony Hunt. It was his 37th RBI of the season.

"We earned that one," said Delgado.
