Michigan rode a good effort from starter John Johns to beat the Amarillo Chicken Haulers at Assembly Line Grounds. The final score was 2-1. Lane Davis collected his 16th save. The 4th-place Militia have won 4 in a row.

Michigan took a 2-1 lead on José Silva's 9th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Silva hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Amarillo pitcher Victor Shelton visibly frustrated.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Silva told the Michigan Bulletin.
