Keg Creek Bats Quiet in 6-1 Loss
Amarillo turned a fine outing from starter Kevin Barker into a victory over the Keg Creek Coyotes at Coyote Den Stadium. The final score was 6-1. Barker, now 8-2, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing no runs. Amarillo's record now stands at 55-69, placing them last in the Appalachian Southern.

Amarillo used a clutch at-bat from Pete Carter to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Chicken Haulers ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Kevin was dictating to their hitters," said Amarillo manager James Walker.
