In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Richmond Ravens defeated the Atlantic City Aces, 5-1, in Appalachian action at Trump Stadium. Richmond pitcher Jesse Parker had a standout performance. Parker yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 6-8.
Richmond used a well-timed hit by Albert Dyer to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Ravens ahead, 4-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We're all smiles after that win," Dyer told the Richmond Daily.
Richmond, at 75-47, is 5½ games up in the Appalachian Southern.
