The Iowa Crop Circles faced a tenacious opponent in Mexico City pitcher John Alexander, but still scratched out a win at The Cornfield by a final score of 2-1 in 10 innings. Alexander went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 run. James Stephens picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-4. Leroy Welch suffered the loss. Mexico City has now lost 8 in a row.

The Crop Circles got a clutch hit from right fielder Júlio Fernández. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Crop Circles.
