Cape Canaveral Drops Newark, 6-2

The Cape Canaveral Launch got a strong performance from pitcher Felipe Delgado, who stymied the Newark offense en route to a win, 6-2, at Falcons Field. In 6.2 innings, Delgado surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. Cape Canaveral is second in the Appalachian Coastal with a record of 63-59.
Cape Canaveral used a clutch at-bat from Miguel Morales to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Launch ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Morales.
