Cheesesteaks Losing Streak at 5 After Extra-Inning Loss to Railbirds
Reading and Philadelphia duked it out and the Railbirds came out victorious.

Reading Railbirds starter Connor Kelloway pitched his team past the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks in 10 innings, 3-1. Reading reliever Juan Gallardo was the winner. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Leonard Johnston. Ed Leibnitz converted his 14th save in 16 tries.

Reading won the game in part because of Dave Rouse. The first baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Railbirds ahead, 3-0. For the game, Rouse had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

Rouse told the Reading Citizen: "I was born for the big stage."

Reading now has a record of 72-52 with the win.
