Adkins Slugs Cheesesteaks to 8-2 Win
Behind a solid performance from center fielder Brian Adkins, the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks defeated the St. Paul Bearers, 8-2. Adkins went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Cheesesteaks. Philadelphia goes to 77-48. The win puts them 3 games up in their division.

With Philadelphia leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Adkins hit a changeup from Jack Coles for a 3-run home run. It was his 32nd home run of the season and put the Cheesesteaks ahead, 4-0.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Adkins.
