Falcons Topple Militia with Late Rally
|
Newark Falcons starter Leo Porter pitched his team past the Michigan Militia, 1-0. The Militia, at 62-64, have lost 4 straight games.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Newark first baseman Mario Madrigal, facing Dave Kennedy, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Falcons the 1-0 win.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Madrigal said.
