The Washington Monuments defeated the Keg Creek Coyotes, 4-3, in Appalachian action at The Grand Lodge. Washington pitcher Ernesto Alary had a standout performance. Marcos Pérez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 3 save opportunities. Washington now has a 4-game win streak.

The Monuments got a big at-bat from center fielder Tetsuhiko Matsumoto. For the game, Matsumoto was 3 for 4 with 3 doubles. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 24th double of the season gave Washington a 3-2 lead.
