Behind a fine performance from Sergio López, the West Island Storm knocked off the Richmond Ravens, 5-1. López was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Storm. Tad Hughes got the win, improving to 12-7. He worked 7.2 innings, giving up 1 run on 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. The second-place Storm have won 5 straight.

The Storm got an important contribution from right fielder Jeff Maddaford, who in the bottom of the second punched a 1-0 sinker into left-center for a 2-run double. It was his 24th double of the season and put the Storm ahead, 4-0.
