Costa Excels, But Outlaws Win
The Ozark Outlaws had to overcome a big game from Keg Creek first baseman Manuel Costa to leave Incest Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 15-4. Costa hit 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. The winning pitcher was Juan Luis Martínez. His record now stands at 5-4. The left-hander went 7.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits for the Outlaws. The win for the Outlaws lifted their record to 64-64.

Alex Smith had a big bases-clearing double for the Outlaws in the bottom of the third inning. With Ozark leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Dani Gonzáles, who finished 3rd in the FR in wins with 17 in 2070, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 28th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Outlaws ahead, 5-1.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Smith said.
