The Minneapolis Maulers picked up a win at MacLaren Stadium, topping the Vermont Lake Monsters, 6-3. On the mound for Minneapolis was right-hander Mike Kern. He played a principal role in the triumph. Kern picked up the win for Minneapolis, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 7-11. Victor Shelton got credit for the save for Minneapolis. It was his 9th of the year.
