Minneapolis Spoils Terrific Game by Erickson
The Minneapolis Maulers got a superb performance from designated hitter Rory Erickson, but the Keg Creek Coyotes still won the game, 13-7. Erickson slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Andy Thomas picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 11 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 10-10. Keg Creek relied on the bat of José Velásquez to get the win. The center fielder ripped a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Coyotes ahead, 8-4. For the game, Velásquez had 1 double and 1 home run in 6 at-bats.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Coyotes manager Jay Kunstler. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
