Riding the 2-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Don Baker, the Iowa Crop Circles stopped the Havana Comrades, 9-2. Reliever Bob Bryant picked up the win. His record improves to 5-4. Roberto García, who is tied for 8th in the FR in wins with 11, took the loss. The Crop Circles sport a record of 51-81.

Iowa shortstop Ramón González contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a forkball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 35th hit of the season and put the Crop Circles ahead, 2-1.
