The exploits of designated hitter Luis Becerra, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2070 draft, helped the Honolulu High Tide defeat the Orlando Rum Runners, 5-2. Becerra went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Honolulu reliever Jesús Rivera was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Jerry Daniels took the loss. The Appalachian Southern-leading High Tide are 74-59.

Honolulu took a 5-1 lead on Becerra's 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Kevin Ray in the top of the seventh, propelled Honolulu to the win.

Becerra told the Honolulu Observer: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
