The Alcatraz Island Jail Break beat the Reading Railbirds, 8-3, at The Rock. Nick Juárez, in particular, was impressive. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Chris Mitchell, the winning pitcher, improved to 16-8. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 3. The Frontier Coastal-leading Jail Break have a record of 82-52.

The Jail Break got a big at-bat from catcher Phil Brock. For the game, Brock was 2-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season gave Alcatraz Island a 3-2 lead.

"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Alcatraz Island manager Justin Fusco.
