Allen Hits 2 home runs in Rum Runners Win
Mike Allen was a major factor in the 6-4 Orlando win over Newark. The Rum Runners second baseman was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The win belongs to David Flint in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Steve Gonzáles took the loss for Newark. The Rum Runners, now 10-2, have been on fire in the early going.

Allen had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from George Garrett, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Rum Runners a 6-4 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Allen.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Allen. "And not try to do too much."
