The Keg Creek Coyotes earned a close win over the Vermont Lake Monsters, thanks in part to António Herrera. The Keg Creek right-hander, who is the 4th-best prospect in the Coyotes organization, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Víctor Escobar got the save, his 29th in 33 chances.

Keg Creek used a clutch at-bat from Dave Brown to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Coyotes ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Brown attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
