Storm Earn 9-1 Win Against Maulers
The West Island Storm faced a tough opponent in Minneapolis pitcher Joe Moon, but found a way to pull out the victory at MacLaren Stadium by a final score of 9-1 in 11 innings. Moon went 6 innings and allowed no runs. West Island reliever Vincent Curtis picked up the win, raising his record to 3-3. Luis Ramírez was tagged with the loss. The Storm sport a record of 52-84.

West Island used the timely hitting of Ajuma Chepkwony to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Storm on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our team showed some resilience," said Chepkwony.
